Indian Archer Bows Out of Recurve Event

Tough Defeat Ends Paralympic Journey

Indian archer Sarita Bairwa's Paralympic campaign came to an end after a quarterfinal loss in the women's individual recurve event at the Paris Paralympics 2024.

Bairwa, who won a bronze medal in the mixed team event at the Tokyo Paralympics, faced off against Thailand's Pattraporn Pattawee in the quarterfinals. Despite a strong start, Bairwa ultimately fell to the Thai archer by a score of 6-2.

The loss marks the end of Bairwa's individual Paralympic journey. However, she will still compete in the mixed team event alongside her teammate Vivek Chikara.
