Luis Robert Jr. Homers Twice, Drives in Four
Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. had a night to remember on Tuesday as he homered twice and drove in a season-high four runs against the Houston Astros.
Robert's first homer came in the top of the second inning off Astros starter Framber Valdez, a solo shot that gave the White Sox an early 1-0 lead.
His second homer came in the top of the fourth inning, a two-run blast that extended the White Sox's lead to 4-1.
Alex Bregman Homers Twice for Astros
Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman also had a big night at the plate, homering twice and driving in three runs.
Bregman's first homer came in the bottom of the second inning, a solo shot that tied the game at 1-1.
His second homer came in the bottom of the fourth inning, a two-run blast that gave the Astros a 5-4 lead.
Astros Score Season-High 21 Runs
The Astros' 21 runs were their highest total of the season and the second-most in team history.
The Astros have now won five of their last six games and are 4.5 games back of the first-place Texas Rangers in the AL West.
White Sox Fall to 5-11 in Last 16
The White Sox have lost 11 of their last 16 games and are now 59-63 on the season.
The White Sox are now 3.5 games back of the first-place Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central.
