Germany to Host Euro 2024: A Comprehensive Guide

About the Tournament

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) European Championship, commonly known as Euro 2024, will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. This will be the 17th edition of the tournament, which is held every four years.

Host Nation

Germany was chosen to host Euro 2024 by the UEFA Executive Committee in September 2018. It will be the third time that Germany has hosted the tournament, following 1988 and 2006.

Venues

Ten cities across Germany will host matches during Euro 2024: Berlin, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, and Stuttgart.

Teams and Groups

Twenty-four teams will participate in Euro 2024, including the host nation. The teams will be divided into six groups of four. The top two teams from each group, as well as the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stage.
